What I Do
I mix records to feel emotional, exciting, and sometimes a little messy. I’m always chasing thumping drums and distorted guitars that ragey and huge all living within a natural landscape.
For over 12 years, I’ve obsessed over how records spill out of the speakers. How sounds sit together, how energy moves, and how a song becomes itself without being forced into a template. A life-long study of records across multiple genres and decades, helps me push a mix exactly where it needs to go.
Most of my work is mixing for bands who have already tracked their songs and want them me to polish them off making a collection of songs feel cohesive, and alive. I treat mixing just like producing, hearing what needs to happen to make the music in front of me feel complete.
