Studio Practice

A small, in-person working environment focused on how sessions actually run in my studio.

Studio Practice

In-Person · Long Island, NY

If you’re tired of guessing in your bedroom and want to know how real sessions actually run

this is for you.

Studio Practice is a small, weekly, in-person working session inside an active recording studio.
It’s built for people who want to:

  • Learn how records get made in a real room

  • Stop relying on YouTube and trial-and-error

  • Record their own band at a higher level

  • Understand what engineers are actually responsible for in sessions

This isn’t about tips and tricks.
It’s about being in the room, seeing how decisions get made, and learning how to move like a professional.

What This Is

Studio Practice focuses on how sessions really work:

  • Session setup and teardown

  • Mic placement and signal flow

  • Communication with artists

  • Ear training and decision-making

  • File organization and standards

You’ll learn how I make records in this studio. Not theory, tutorials or generic advice.

What This Is Not

  • Not a school

  • Not a course

  • Not certification

  • Not online

  • Not “watch me do it while you take notes”

This is a working environment with expectations.

How It Works

Studio Practice runs in a 3-month series.

Each month covers the same core practices, but:

  • We build upon simple foundation

  • We go deeper into each process

  • Independence increases
